1. Go to Bitfinex

With your Client portal browser tab open, create a new browser tab, log in, or create a new account on .

2. Go to the

Hover the mouse over the profile icon on the top right corner, then hover over API Keys and choose to Create New Key:

3. Select permissions

Set the permissions to match the screenshot below:

4. Enable and enter the IP whitelist addresses

To find updated IP addresses, go to the connecting Bitfinex exchange page and take the IP addresses from there:

5. Name your key and click "Generate API Key"

When you have multiple APIs, a proper name helps to manage it:

6. Confirm with 2FA

If you don't have 2FA on Bitfinex, skip this.

7. Confirm with email

Open the email from Bitfinex and confirm:

8. Copy the created API keys somewhere safe

9. Connect Bitfinex exchange using created API keys
